Sonntag is a nomadic art event series initiated by April Gertler and Adrian Schiesser that creates a “social sculpture”. For the event an artist is invited to exhibit in a private apartment while the artist’s favorite cake is served to the viewing public. For the launch of the Sonntag book I created a 3 hour performance during which I confronted the idea of a “social sculpture” by engaging in strange and asocial behaviors. I crawled on the floor, tried to steal a table, used my crutches as a slide, inserted myself in private conversations, and many more. I was timed by a random timer app that signaled from a wireless speaker on my neck. When I heard it ring I either started an action or a rest period. In the 3 hours I managed to perform 14 actions.
