For an hour I wrestled with a thick white plastic bag, we were lovers and we were enemies.

How do bodies react to love and nurturing, how do they react to violence and pain? How do I sublimate the violence I want to inflict? What is the toll on my body and mind?

“Denial” is a performance of real violence.
