An exhibition at the Vesselroom Project where I showed three new image pairs titled “Anon Äon”, “Nobody” and “Finally, The Lion”.

“The current series of works by Aleks Slota and Justin Powell engage in a dialogue defined by the concept of analogue. Slota’s photographs disorient, and confuse. Powell’s images pull you in and expand space, abstracted form becomes vast.

Slota and Powell attempt to displace the viewer from routine cognitive processes. They are interested in a state where matter and physicality come to fore. Information is ambiguous and the scale of our environment is incalculable.”
