A middle manager of fascism is let loose in a gallery. There is always someone above him to worship and to be afraid of, and there are the lowly and repugnant underlings to control and despise. There is the external fascist order and the internalized, self-hating little man who can’t stop apologizing. Partially inspired by The Anatomy of Human Destructiveness by Erich Fromm. No audience members were harmed during the performance.
Performed at Le Lieu in Québec City during the RiAP festival, curated by Stvn Girard.
