NOTHING’S FREE

During three hours I invited the audience to sit with me and drink a beer. I set a kitchen timer to between 1 and 10 minutes, depending on the perceived discomfort of the participant. We sat together, sometimes in uncomfortable silence. I held their hand firmly to make sure they stayed the whole time. When the timer rang I let go of their hand, took the beer, and asked them to leave.
